We are extending – and postponing the end of the 2020 season!

Since (long-distance) travel is still difficult or impossible to plan at the moment, we thought:

We will end the 2020 season at the same time as the Loissin campsite and will close our gates for the last time this year on Saturday, October 31, 2020!

Before the end of the 2020 season, we will also start selling 2020 material – so if you are still looking for material & equipment, just drop by us for the next few weeks!

Today we are happy to announce that kitesafe.de is now a new member of the GSUPA!

What is a ” GSUPA ” anyway?

GSUPA is THE German Stand-Up-Paddle Association ( German SUP-Paddle Association )!

The association promotes all types of stand-up paddling sport. He would like to offer all SUP enthusiasts and athletes a uniform basis that is easy to understand. Its goal is the promotion of young people, the growth of competitive sport, but also security in popular sport. Winter travel 2021/2022

The 2021 season at our station in Loissin is unfortunately over again – much too quickly. Time to look ahead and to our winter trips 2021/2022!

After we have canceled all trips as a precaution in the winter season 2020/2021, we are daring to take another step this winter: we are on the road again in winter and cordially invite you to be there – the following dates are set:

13.11.-04.12.2021: Spain / Mallorca – Supervised kite trip

Our trip to Mallorca was also a bit mixed up, which means we have to do without the finca this year – instead we are continuously in the hotel directly on Playa de Palma and from there we set out to kite the island’s beaches.

22.01.-09.02.2022: Finland / Lapland – Snowkite Camp

New in the program: a literally cool excursion to the far north. Let us surprise you with what surprises this trip has to offer!

We are back! After we were flown back to Germany very spontaneously after only 2 weeks in 2020 and weren’t even there in 2021, we will be back at the start in 2022. Our top spot for everyone looking for warm water and a relaxed area.

Season update 08-05-2021

Aloha & welcome to kitesafe.de …

In our original, optimistic vision of the 2021 season, we have been welcoming our customers with these words since April 1st of this year and have now been working in Loissin for over 5 weeks. The next few weeks will be something … MOMENT!

Oh yes, wish and reality – there was a little difference, wasn’t there? Time for the season update 08-05-2021!

Right. In the meantime we are writing May 8th 2021, the hard lockdown in Mecklenburg Vorpommern is still active and an opening for tourism & Co is in sight at the earliest (and again only with a lot of optimism) from May 22nd. Until then, training, rental and shop operations (exception: online) are prohibited, which is why we may have had to give you a cancellation for one of the early dates in the season … Read more “Season update 08-05-2021”

In episode 2 we take a closer look at the IKO Level 1 – Discovery : We go through the individual steps together and clarify any questions.

There are many different methods and opinions, especially when it comes to ‘starting as a pilot’ and ‘landing yourself’:

Where do I have to be when starting? What signs do I need? Who has to move, pilot or helper? How does the wind window help me with my orientation? What are the signs that I am wrong?
What methods are there for landing by yourself? Which are safe? Which of them always work?

Short update July 2020

Aloha and welcome to the July 2020 update!

It has been quiet for a while here on the blog and on our social media channels – after we resumed training at the end of May, time is racing and we are constantly working for you. Because: despite CoViD-19, the sun is shining and the wind is also a regular this summer. You get a little impression of a “lull” day with 6-8kn according to the forecast in the video.

In the meantime we have grown to full team strength – we are currently in the water with a maximum of 8 IKO instructors, while Roman, as the station manager, takes care of everything in / around / on / under our station.

And so that we don’t burn all the powder at once, there will be a few small updates in the next few days 🙂

We wish you a nice rest of the week and a sunny start to the weekend – and of course lots of wind!

GOODboards demo tour 08/31/2020

Everything GOOD out there?

It’s raining a little here and overnight it doesn’t feel like summer anymore … but it doesn’t matter, because a HIGHLIGHT is already on the way:

Sandra will be our guest in Loissin next Monday, August 31st, 2020 with the GOODboards demo tour!

In the luggage is all the kite material for testing, stories, laughing and much more. We start the labfire and hope that wind and weather will be kind to us throughout the day.

If you’ve always wanted to test the GOOD boards , come by – we look forward to seeing you!

New: IKO Pro Insurance – for all kiters & ProCourses

IKO Pro Insurance – new since June 2020

Our association has introduced a new feature for all kiters & instructors: professional and personal liability insurance! But why an extra insurance?

As a leisure kiter, you usually take care of your own insurance for your own equipment and rental equipment. Damage to third party material is covered by the insurance, the deductible is 250 € / claim. As of today, rental equipment is not covered – since many liability insurers do not cover damage to equipment rented out by commercial providers (e.g. a kite school), there is, for example, the VDWS SafetyTool, which also covers damage to rental equipment, for a manageable annual fee with a small deductible.

However, if you are interested in a kite instructor training and a job as a kitesurf instructor, sooner or later the question arises again and again as to whether and how one can best be insured.
