In 2019 we have set ourselves the goal of keeping you up to date with a travel blog about our Egypt kitecamp a little more intensively than in the past. It won’t be easy, but we can at least try: the Egypt Kitecamp is not known for a lot of residual energy in the evening. And if we miss a day, please check us out 🙂 Read more “Travel blog Egypt day 1”
We are changing the number of posts in our newsletter – you can sign up for the newsletter here :
Our first season as a kite school is going great and every week we experience highlights on the water and at the station – keeping everything and writing down and then sending it out as a newsletter after 1-2 months is almost impossible. In order to allow you to participate as much as possible in our everyday life, we will increase the number of hits of this newsletter and convert it to a weekly blog update – you will receive the blog posts of the week by email every Friday, punctually for the weekend (and while we are sitting around the lab fire) . Will we actually manage to work on our blog several times a week? We are excited and will try – also at the risk of adjusting the rhythm again and switching to monthly (after the season at the latest). We hope you like the idea and look forward to your feedback; in person or by email, blog comment or on our social media channels Facebook & Instagram . Until then: have fun reading!
A forecast with a maximum of 11 knots, absolute low tide due to the super moon and 4 newcomers in the afternoon. That was our prediction for ours Egypt travel blog day 2. What do you do with such a day? Read more “Egypt travel blog day 2”
We have already taken up the topic of security in our name and write it on our flag anew every day:
Why? You have probably also heard of injuries, accidents, lost equipment or kiters in distress in connection with kitesurfing or seen videos on YouTube & Co. Accordingly, the topic of safety on the beach and on the water is at the top of our priority list – and for this reason we have chosen the International Kiteboarding Organization (short: IKO – www.ikointl.com ) and have through this Association a solid framework geared towards safety in kitesurfing, on which our course and curricula are based – so that our students, renters, beach and bathers can get through the day safely and with fun.
In addition to the requirements of the IKO in terms of material and behavior for students and teachers, we have now picked up our VengaBoat and have already been able to drive the first missions. The Whaly 455R offers a lot of space and thanks to the new keel shape it can also handle waves and wind extremely well – and the first few uses have shown that we are well armed even in more demanding weather.
Furthermore, in addition to 2-way radio (instructor – students), all of our teachers have a mobile phone with them on the water so that they can call for help in an emergency. There are also several first aid kits at the station, the fire brigade, on the beach and in the boat – always in the hope that we won’t need the emergency equipment. For the future, we will again include 1-2-day safety seminars in our training program to cover topics such as self-rescue, correct starting and landing (with and without helpers) and also actual basic topics such as right of way (KVR) because we can observe the most frequent deficits here. Check our blog here regularly – we will announce the seminars there!
Until then we wish you a lot of fun on the water – kite safe!
So that was it, the first week – in a few hours the first guest of our 2019 Egypt kitecamp is on the way home, but the next guest arrives again shortly afterwards. In the meantime we have increased the group size to 15 people and are thus entering a windy week 2. Read more “Egypt travel blog – that was week 1”

The first calm was there – after 34 days of kite wind … and despite the forecast of light winds and calm we were kiting again for the last few days. We think that’s a pretty good result – and has kept us on our toes since the last post 🙂 The group size is currently 11 people, today and tomorrow are still coming Read more “Egypt travel blog – sandstorm doldrums”
2019 is a year full of changes for us: kite school, staff, new travel plans and much more. So we thought:
If we already change a few things, we can also approach the basis and have started a relaunch for Logo & Co. The result was and is a bit more tedious, but no less good: Logo, flyer, banner and textile motifs are ready and we like them very, very much!
Here are the two logos (light & dark) for comparison – we wanted easy printability and a tidier logo. We say: goal achieved – thank you very much 13 ° in Neubrandenburg !
And now the new logo not only adorns our flyer, but is also on the website , banners, flags and posters. How do you like the logo and the relaunch? Come by and see the results live and in color – we look forward to your feedback!
