Egypt travel blog – Happy Birthday Malte!
Today, besides the following kite picture, there is an insight into the nightlife here in the wadi – or at least into what we have here as nightlife 🙂
It was Malte’s birthday yesterday and the south wind was announced very early in the morning. However, the sunrise at 6:05 am was also the only suitable event that was correct from the forecast. So there was a sunrise SUP round for the birthday child, then light winds from various directions and then the surprise in the evening:
A mega cake with lots of fruit and a real chocolate platter – followed by a round of Bedouin-style coffee: freshly roasted, crushed and mixed with dried ginger coffee in the traditional way of preparation of the local Bedouin tribes – Gabana . Even after several laps, we were able to sleep well and let the day end.
Today two more departures, until next week Tuesday we are now complete. The weather is a little crazy (cloudy, short rain showers at night), but there was good wind today and the forecast for the next few days is also correct. And the nearby hotel is slowly getting a bit fuller … here is the tour to the mangrove forest in the north.
Tomorrow there will be the next surprise – be curious 🙂
